The X-koala F26 is a budget electric bike that packs a surprising punch for just four hundred dollars. You get a strong 750W motor that peaks at 1500W, letting you cruise at 25 miles per hour on flat roads and climb hills without pedaling too hard. The bike can go between 25 and 60 miles depending on how much you pedal, which is pretty good for the price. It folds up for storage, has lights built in, comes with a display screen to see your speed and battery, and it's UL certified so it passed safety tests. The dual disc brakes stop you quickly even when it's raining, and the front suspension helps smooth out bumpy streets.

This bike works great for people who want to ride to work, cruise around the neighborhood on weekends, or go on bike paths without spending a thousand dollars or more. It's perfect if you live in an apartment and need something that folds, or if you want to throw it in your car to ride somewhere fun. Bigger riders will like that it holds up to 365 pounds. The seven gears let you find the right speed whether you're going uphill or zooming on flat ground. With pedal assist, you can get exercise while the motor helps you out, or you can just use the throttle and let the bike do all the work.

The downsides are real though. With only 3 stars from buyers, some people clearly had issues - maybe with quality, customer service, or the bike not living up to promises. The carbon steel frame makes it heavier than aluminum bikes and it can rust if you leave it in the rain. You only get front suspension so your backside feels every pothole. There's no rack for carrying groceries, no fenders to keep you dry, and no USB port to charge your phone. If you want a bike that lasts for years, has amazing parts, or can handle serious mountain trails, spend more money on a better brand.

For four hundred bucks, this is a solid starter electric bike that does the basics well but doesn't wow you with fancy features or top quality.
